Hopes and Dreams Certificates for PTHV Week

As a core practice of PTHV’s model, discussing hopes and dreams for the student during the home visit is critical. It centers the conversation around the student, grounds the relationship between educators and families, and creates a mutual goal for both to work together.

As we near our inaugural National PTHV Week, Parent Teacher Home Visits would like to add to the celebration by providing a memento that captures these hopes and dreams – Parent Teacher Home Visits’ 25th Year Anniversary Hopes and Dreams Certificate! Home visiting educators can download copies of this certificate to present during home visits conducted between September 19-24, 2022 (PTHV Week) and beyond.

While the memory of a home visit will remain with you and your students’ families forever, we encourage you to take this fun opportunity to fill out a hopes and dreams certificate together during the visit. Feel free to create a second copy to take back to your classroom; creating a display wall is a great way to not only share the hopes and dreams of students you visited but can also encourage making home visit connections among the rest. We would love for you to see how visions for each student may change from year to year, with our 25th anniversary kicking off the first of many certified hopes and dreams to come.

You can download a copy of your hopes and dreams certificate here. Here’s a sample of a certificate.

PTHV is a nonprofit grassroots network that must raise its operating budget every year. Like the local home visit projects we help, our network is sustained by collaboration.
