To commemorate our 25th Anniversary, Parent Teacher Home Visits is launching our inaugural National PTHV Week from September 19-24, 2022.

To support the planning and implementation of local celebrations, we will award five (5) schools/districts with up to $1,000 each in grant funding. For this grant application, schools/districts will need to outline a brief plan for how they will observe National PTHV Week.

While plans should align with the overarching National PTHV Week goals, schools and districts are encouraged to personalize their celebration based on local home visiting goals and needs. For example, PTHV Week plans may include activities, such as a home visit contest between educators, a social media campaign to share local impact stories, a school board proclamation, and special gatherings focused on building a home visit community.

Many associated activity costs – such as food, promotional materials, and incentives – are unallowable on Title funds, which are the most commonly used funding sources for local home visit practices. These costs are allowable, however, with the PTHV Week Mini-Grant, presenting a real opportunity for schools and districts to celebrate and recognize educators and families who prioritize building relationships of trust.
